Hello, my name is Audrius. I am the founder of "vinter".

As the planet's population continues to grow and resources dwindle, it is imperative to learn how to make the most of what we already have. There is currently more furniture in the world than people can possibly need, but more and more are being produced every day.

I believe that the activities of "vinter" will help preserve a considerable amount of wonderful furniture from past eras, which can be successfully used now and even serve for future generations.

All my life I have been involved in activities related to the furniture industry. For 11 years, I worked in a furniture manufacturing factory, where I got to know different types of wood, its processing possibilities and technologies, and trends in furniture design. I have always felt a passion for exclusive furniture design and quality items that have their own unique history, so after leaving the furniture factory, I started furniture restoration activity. During 6 years in this activity, I gained a lot of experience and knowledge. My other hobby is collecting, so in 2024 I decided to combine everything and founded "vinter", this is a place where I collect special furniture, and you have the special opportunity to buy it.

Like was said: "choose a job you like and you'll never have to work", so at the moment I'm doing most of the work myself :)

About furniture and restoration

In this store, you will find vintage furniture that is mostly made from 1930 to 1970 and belongs to the currently very popular Mid-Century Modern style, but you can also find Art Deco, Scandinavian Modern, Gustavian or even 19th century Rococo and Louis XV style treasures.

Exclusive items to the "vinter" workshop and store usually come from Denmark, Sweden, Italy and France. Depending on the condition of the furniture, it is decided whether it will remain in its original condition and only a cosmetic renovation with special furniture restoration materials, or whether it will require a professional restoration, during which the old finish is removed from the wooden surfaces and covered with a new ecological lacquer finish. Upholstered furniture parts are replaced with new ones, choosing authentic or modern high-quality fabrics (usually we use Swedish company - Nevotex).

Professionally restored or in excellent condition, authentic furniture is not only a unique interior accent, but also a great investment. As long as such furniture decorates your home and you use it, it will not only maintain its value, but will probably increase it significantly. It is a unique and very rational way of investing, similar to investing in a good classic car when you can use it for its intended purpose and at the same time grow in value.

Furniture that was created by famous designers and has its own authentic markings is most valuable. If the piece of furniture is rare and in excellent condition, it also greatly increases its value in the future.
